Bombing

D*Face has to be one of London'd most prolific street artists, pretty much every signpost in town has one of his stickers on the back! He even went semi legit earlier this year making the front cover of Art Review and raising a few eyebrows in the process! D*Face was also the genius behind the sadly now closed Outside Institute gallery which provided a showcase for street art from around the world. Anyways his great website has a store section with prints, paintings etc and some cool tees like this one.

Irony Part Deux

I guess this doesn't have to be ironic, it could just be arrogance or severe wishful thinking. Anyways lime green is my favourite colour so I'd have probably bought this tee even if it had IDIOT written on the front! Even better is that the kind people at DURKL actually sent me a refund on my international shipping costs cos the website overcharged me!

American Irony?

Who said Americans don't get irony! I'm not normally one for political slogans on T-Shirts but I thought this one from Vintage Vantage was pretty funny. One of the most comfortable Tees I own, most people normally chuckle when they see it though I did get accosted by some old bloke at Borough Market who wanted to lecture me on the "Youth of Today" because of it!

Basquiat - Early Favourite

I've long been a fan of graffiti and in turn Jean-Michel Basquiat. I saw a show of his in Venice 6 or 7 years ago and was instantly hooked. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be in NY when the Brooklyn Museum put on an amazing display of his work. My girlfriend bought me this T-Shirt in the museum store. It is made by 2kshirts and they have a great collection of T's here . The cotton is nothing special but the colour is great, really lemony and the design works on a couple of levels. I guess most people think its some sort of statement about the wearer (hey at least my girlfriend thinks I'm ideal right!?) but you occasionally get a knowing look of respect from fellow graffiti/Basquiat enthusiats. Check out the site for a wide selection, my only beef is the excessive delivery charges they have, especially for international orders, I mean how much does a T-Shirt weigh right?

Welcome

I love T-Shirts but I can't wear them to work so this blog is all about the T-Shirts I'd love to wear to work but can't, I hope you like them and I hope unlike me you can wear some of them to work!
